FOURIERS Shimano Sprocket

The 42-tooth sprocket set gives us an extra development compared to the original 36 or 34.

The aim is to provide more options, especially uphill, given the lack of two or three chainrings at the front.

This sprocket set is manufactured according to Fouriers´ high quality standards, its machining and finishes are of the highest quality.

The 42-tooth sprocket is accompanied by a 16-tooth sprocket (free of charge) which makes the transformation of the cassette perfect.

Until now, many riders have removed the 15-tooth sprocket to fit the 42-tooth sprocket, leaving a very large gap between the front and rear sprockets.

Thus, the drivetrain was usually set at 11-13-17-19.

leaving 4 teeth of difference between the 13-17.

With the installation of the 16-tooth sprocket set, a more proportionate relationship is established, which is undoubtedly noticeable in the changes we make between these sprockets.

With the 16-tooth sprocket set, the operation would be to remove the 15 and 17 sprocket set, to have a development as follows:11-13-16-19.

i.e.

a more continuous and closer development that greatly improves the changes between crowns.

It is recommended to mount the 40-tooth sprocket on 34-tooth cassettes and the 42-tooth sprocket on 36-tooth cassettes.
