Our plus tire master, the 35 mm HX 581 is super strong, yet light and reliable and loves to smash through the rough like no other. The ideal rim for tires over 2.4´´ and designed from the ground up to deliver a long service life under the harshest conditions. Features: System weight: - The system weight is composed of the weight of the rider and his equipment, plus the bike with luggage. Welded: - Welded refers to a method used in making rims. In this case, the profile ends of the rim are connected by welding. This precise, stable and lightweight connection is used on all high-quality aluminum rims. This manufacturing process is the most expensive due to the effort involved, but it offers the most reliable connection. Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC: - Hooked or crotchet refers to the shape of the rim flange. In this variant, the rim flange has a so-called hook. This supports the fixation of the tire bead and ensures safe function, also in high pressure use cases (>5 bar tire pressure). Tubeless refers to the ability of the rim to be used without a tube, but a tube set up is also possible. Brake Interface: - The advantage of the Center Lock system is that the disc brake attachment is made with one single lock ring, which facilitates assembly. On the other hand, an advantage of the IS-System (6 Bolt) is that in the event of a necessary repair on the trail, no special tool is needed for disassembly.
