The black surface was obtained thanks to a unique process of firing cast iron in vegetable oil at a very high temperature. The surface has been additionally oxidized, which reduces susceptibility to rust. It is recommended to preserve the pot after each washing by lubricating the entire surface with a thin layer of cooking oil. Otherwise, rust may appear on the surface of the cast iron.
