The Fairbanks jacket is a technical and versatile garment designed to offer comfort and protection during outdoor activities in variable weather conditions. The jacket is made up of two layers , an outer jacket and an inner jacket , both with specific features to enhance performance. The outer jacket is made from a durable double layer (2.0 layer) polyester ripstop fabric with a PU membrane that offers a water resistance rating of 12,000mm and a breathability rating of 12,000g/m²/24h. This material ensures that the jacket is waterproof and at the same time breathable, preventing overheating during high-intensity activities. The seams are completely sealed (taped seam) to prevent any water infiltration. The outer jacket features an integrated adjustable hood with hard visor, which offers additional protection during adverse weather conditions. The bottom of the jacket is adjustable with a drawstring to adjust to fit and block any drafts. The lower sleeves are adjustable via flap and Velcro closure for a custom fit. Inside the outer jacket, there is an inner pocket with loops to allow the inner jacket to be attached. The inner jacket is padded with a synthetic material imitating down, which offers excellent thermal capacity and thermal insulation, retaining body heat even in cold conditions. The inner bottom of the inner jacket is finished with a lycra tape to ensure a better fit and reduce the entry of cold air.
