Snotra is a classic, warm and functional long-sleeve crewneck midlayer for long hiking and trekking days. The Snotra LS Sweater is made from a mix of soft and airy organic cotton, and Merino wool for added warmth, a dry feeling and breathability. While the dimensional waffle structure creates an air flow layer between the skin and the fabric. It features a crewneck design with wide ribbed cuffs for comfort, a large buttoned front closure for ventilation, flatlock seams and seamless shoulders to avoid abrasions. Conventional cotton is considered one of the most polluting crops due to the heavy use of pesticides and insecticides in production. There are also concerns regarding worker´s rights, child labor and unsustainable water consumption. Our end goal is to use organic cotton exclusively. This is an ongoing process, and as an alternative we use cotton from producers in transaction to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification. - Organic cotton is grown without any toxic or persistent pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or GMO seeds. Instead, methods like beneficial insects and mechanical weeding help reduce the environmental strain. Cultivation is done with care for the environment. Workers are protected from hazardous chemicals, and the surrounding communities are protected by preventing the pollution of drinking water. Fluorocarbon Free Care: - Machine wash on regular cycle at 30°c. - Do not bleach, tumble dry or dry clean. - Use wool detergent. - Iron at a maximum temperature of 110°c. - Steam iron may cause irreversible damage.
