The synthetic fiber insulation made of polyester is known for its outstanding thermal performance which has similar thermal properties to down insulation. All PrimaLoft® products comply with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and most products are also Bluesign ®certified. Stretchable Fabric: - We use various fabrics that exhibit stretch features. This includes knitwear, which is elastic due to the knit, and woven fabrics, which be come stretchy thanks to their woven construction or the addition of spandex. We distinguish between fabrics that are stretchable in two directions (2-way stretch fabric) or in four directions (4-way stretch fabric). 100 % PFC FREE: - Textiles in the outdoor sector are treated with a chemical finish (durable water repellency - DWR) to make them water- and oil-repellent. Fluorocarbon compounds, which are also called per- or polyfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), are usually used for this purpose. These chemicals are controversial because of their harmfulness to both human health and the environment. At HEAD Sportswear, we are striving to convert all fabrics treated with DWR to become PFC-free in the long term. This enables us to protect people and the environment.
