The Giant Romero SL saddle is a high performance saddle specifically designed for trail and enduro riding. Featuring a flexible chassis design with a nylon/glass fibre composite base to provide increased flexibility, as well as Side-Flex technology for inner leg comfort, the Romero SL also features all-new built-in Particle Flow padding to enhance shock absorption but retain flexibility in the base. Highlights: - As Giant’s first performance mountain bike-specific saddle, the Romero SL is the result of a close collaboration of pro athlete testers and Giant engineers working with new technologies to deliver a new level of support and comfort. Side Wrap Technology: - A durable yet smooth and elastic Side-Wrap padding covers all the edges of the Romero, reducing the abrasion and impact that can happen when navigating corners in attack position and descending over rough terrain. Optimized Long Nose Design: - With an optimized long-nose design, down-sloping nose shape and optimal pad thickness, the Romero provides maximum support when attacking punchy, steep climbs. Side Flex Technology: - Featuring all-new Side-Flex technology, the Romero allows the sides of the saddle base to flex and adapt, reducing the abrasion and impact on the inner thigh that can happen when descending technical terrain at speed. Nylon/glass Fiber Composite Base: - Compared with a carbon base, a nylon plus glass fiber composite base offers greater flexibility in multiple directions when pedaling or moving forward to attack steep climbs. Built-in Particle Padding: - Using Particle Flow technology inherited from Giant road saddles, but applying it slightly differently, the Romero directly inserts two particle pockets into the padding of the saddle and provides full shock absorption and comfort while still giving the base the flexibility it needs. Rebound Technology: - Giant Rebound foam is our premium saddle padding that features optimal density foam with incredibly high elasticity at a super low weight. Optimal materials distribution also provides ultimate comfort and shock absorption and contributes to overall weight savings.
