Diplomatic actions have paid off and we have signed a treaty with the androids.

However, pirates have retaken control of the trade route.

We must finish them off! In starship captains you will take command of a space cruiser and you will have to lead your crew to score the maximum number of points possible after 4 rounds.

You will complete missions, manage interstellar diplomacy, develop technologies, collect artifacts and medals, fight against evil pirates.

Will you lead your crew with success and become the best commander in the galaxy? Crew! This is the star cruiser commander speaking from the command center.

The planets of the system need us to ensure free trade and keep pirates at bay.

If we work hard, our fame will spread throughout the galaxy.

As the commanding officer of a newly restored star cruiser, you will lead a team of sentient beings who have dedicated their lives to the ideals of the co-op.

Cooperate for strength, negotiate for peace, and explore for knowledge.

What your crew lacks in experience is made up for in their enthusiasm.

They will surely learn a lot from you on this journey.

And while your ship may have some scratches and dents, it just goes to show how tough it is.

Surely in your hands it becomes the best ship in the fleet.

There are many things to do, and if you don´t do them, surely another captain will take care of it.

Hoffgaard, starship captains is a strategy game that can be enjoyed alone or in groups of up to 4 people, ages 12 and up, in games that last just over an hour.

To win, players must score the most points after 4 rounds.

There are many ways to get precious points:

completing missions, managing interstellar diplomacy, developing technologies, collecting artifacts and medals, defeating pirates.

In starship captains the main mechanics is based on selecting actions, represented by rooms within the ship.

After all, as a commander, you must assign the most appropriate tasks to your crew based on the needs of each moment.

There are 4 different types of rooms:

piloting, to move the ship.

Weapons, to fight the pirates.

Science, to acquire technology.

And repairs, where the damage that our space cruiser has suffered can be fixed.

On each turn you must choose one of your crew members to occupy one of these rooms.

But attention! Each of them is specialized and knows how to handle specific devices.

Although everyone (even cadets) can repair the ship, the other three rooms will require you to choose a specific crew member, who will have the same color as the room.

Once used, crew members will need to rest, so they may not be available the next turn.

Plan your strategy well! To earn points, one of the main methods is to solve the missions available throughout the galaxy.

You will need to travel with your ship and command your crew to complete various tasks in order to complete them.

Throughout the game you can also kill annoying pirates (which cause damage to ships), level up 3 different faction markers depending on your diplomatic activity, train and promote our crew to be more efficient, or get valuable artifacts.

Another challenge that starship captains poses for us is that many of the objects or new rooms that you will obtain will share space with the damage that the ship will suffer, so do not forget to make periodic repairs if you want to continue progressing.

With a moderate difficulty, starship captains is an ideal title for those who are already new to the hobby of board games and want to go one step further.

With many choices at your fingertips, but without the time or means to execute them all, planning will be key to achieving the highest score.
